This project aimed to create a bold landscape entry to the Eastern edge of the Perth central business district at the end of Riverside Drive adjacent to the Causeway bridge.  
Concepts explored a variety of approaches including more naturalistic expressions using predominantly native plant species along with a more formal, exotic treatment using Canary Island Palms as a central feature.
The City of Perth council reviewed concepts with their preferred approach being a more formal, structured treatment as shown in the last option below.  
Subsequently, landscape documentation was prepared, tenders called and the works constructed. 
A major component of the project was the sourcing and transplantation of 14 mature Canary Island Palms from various locations around the metropolitan area.




A series of concepts were developed during the design process with the  option immediately above agreed for implementation by Council
