This significant open space provides an exciting opportunity for expression of myriad cultural and landscape values through environmental design.
David prepared a detailed analysis of views and visual quality around this regionally significant recreation area as part of a broader land analysis process undertaken by GHD.
A range of recommendations were identified to provide direction for the ongoing management of the area’s visual resources, recognising significant opportunities to enhance existing landscapes.
Following on from this work, David developed a landscape concept for the lower lands adjacent to the yacht club. This process included community engagement to help understand expectations for use of the area. Drawings were refined in response to feedback and issued for wider public comment by the City of Melville.
