‘The Pearl’ is a constructed island created by dredging shallow waters near the capital Doha to form a freehold residential develelopment for 35,000 residents.
The scope for landscape consultancy included concept and design development phases as part of a large multidisciplinary team.
The landscape concept development and detail assisted to articulate the island’s character and identity, expressed through roadway landscaping, parks and open spaces.
Considerable efforts were made to resolve landscape treatments which integrated with required infrastructure including irrigation lakes, a sewerage treatment plant, roadway interchanges, bridges and signage.
